Final Project!

"All The Pieces In My Life"

For the self portrait above, the background was to
be done about something that represents my personality.
So I am in the center, with the people, and things that I
enjoy surrounding me. Done in Conte Crayon, and Charcoal.



My Very First self portrait! I think this has a little more
defining lines, because I drew it from a picture and could see
all of the lines in the picture, the Final picture was drawn from a
mirror image. So while I think I have improved,
I still could use some practice.

“The story of Skábma is based on the Sámi mythology of The Celestial Hunt. The Celestial Bull Reindeer, Sarvvis, has been hunted through the ages by the Sons of Kalla from the constellation of Orion. If the hunters succeed in killing Sarvvis, the world will die. In the game, a young Sámi child, Áilu, gets mixed up with this endless hunt and accidentally initiates the end of the world.“ Students have been working hard over the summer with various projects and internships. One project in focus is project Skábma – Polar Night, originally titled “Kaamos.” A project which began during a game minor module in 2015, has now been developed into a fully-fledged project. International Week at Minerva Akadamie von Popkultuur (Leeuwarden)

Photo: Alexandra Mitiku  I arrived with Lavinia on a wet Tuesday morning in Leeuwarden. We were running late for the opening of the international week at Leeuwarden and managed to get slightly lost. Eventually we stumbled into the presentation room of Minerva Academie voor Popcultuur . My first impression of the school was how liberal they were, from discussions to interior design. Originally we were supposed to make only installations based on the environment, but we ended up joining another workshop ‘Future City planning’ and consequently our workshop description was a fusion of planning a future Leeuwarden and making an art installation.
