STUDY INTERACTIVE MEDIA AT TAMK

Finding yourself wanting to learn more about graphic design, get into the field of game design and/or gain knowledge of web design? Then apply to TAMKs Degree Programme in Interactive Media!

These studies will give you the basics of design, learn to use illustrative programs, give you more experience in whichever field you choose. You will make your own study programme together with guiding teachers, depending on what you are interested in.

Chrystal Giam is a talented second year International Media student. She has worked as a graphic designer on a number of companies with great success. On this video she explains about her study path and future plans in TAMK.

“The story of Skábma is based on the Sámi mythology of The Celestial Hunt. The Celestial Bull Reindeer, Sarvvis, has been hunted through the ages by the Sons of Kalla from the constellation of Orion. If the hunters succeed in killing Sarvvis, the world will die. In the game, a young Sámi child, Áilu, gets mixed up with this endless hunt and accidentally initiates the end of the world.“ Students have been working hard over the summer with various projects and internships. One project in focus is project Skábma – Polar Night, originally titled “Kaamos.” A project which began during a game minor module in 2015, has now been developed into a fully-fledged project. Cool Week in Hong Kong 20.-24.4.2015

View over Hong Kong, from the PolyU Innovation Tower Hong Kong skyline, near the Space Museum Between the 20th and 24th of April, two of our Tamk Media and Arts lecturers - Howell Istance and I, Carita Forsgren - went to visit Hong Kong. (Yes, the city, not the Finnish hardware and various items store by the same name.) We were there by the generous invitation of the University of Tampere, Centre for Practice as Research inTheatre .
